KFLL/FLL - Fort Lauderdale - Le Méridien - March 2025
KMIA/MIA - Miami - Wyndham Garden - March 2025
NZAA/AKL - Auckland - Pullman Hotel - March 2025
I had room 815, rooms x14 to x24 look towards the runway. There's a little bit of remote parking visible but mainly requires aircraft to move to be visible. There is a 9th floor above but I think that is executive/premium rooms.
There are no views from within either the international or domestic terminals. A walk to the far end of the domestic terminal will show some freighters, ANZ and Air Chathams turboprops. The biz and GA ramp is further away but walkable, or if you have a car there's also a viewing area that also requires most aircraft to move to see them.
There is a Novotel next door that is perpendicular to the runway but would allow movements to be seen, and will usually be cheaper than the Pullman.
ZBTJ/TSN - Tianjn - Tianjin Binhai International Airport hotel - May 2025
The hotel to use at Tianjn is the Tianjin Binhai International Airport hotel at No 13, No 4 Road at Binhai Old Airport booked through Agoda and they were very accommodating to providing an airport facing room on the top floor (8th). rooms 827-833 will look over the airport but there is a building blocking the view straight onto the terminal ramp. However, aircraft departed right in front of the hotel and were also visible on approaches to the furthest runway, so nothing missed.
The hotel doesn't have an airport shuttle so requires a taxi, 30Rmb was money well spent. From the hotel side and also from the International Terminal (which is on the southern side) there were no views of the co-located Airbus factory, so I have no idea what was there r how easy it might be to read stuff from the Domestic side of the terminal.

VHHH/HKG - Hong Kong - Four Points Tung Chung - April 2025
I stayed at the four points in Tung Chung, there is one shuttle bus an hour departing at xx:15 from the airport at xx:45 from the hotel, it departs from Ground Floor of arrivals hall B near Car park 1 bays 11-14 and runs from 06:45 to 23:15. I was allocated room 2111 which gives a great, but slightly distant, view of the airport and nothing will be missed unless the visibility is down. To get the view you need to book an Ocean view room and at check in ask for an airport view and they seem to know what you want. The hotel is 21 floors high and odd numbered rooms xx:01-xx35 with the best rooms being in the mid to low numbered range. Having looked for a couple of alternative hotels to the regal in HKG since the skybridge opened I think the four points is my new favourite and certainly where I will pick in the future. As a last point on HKG all arrivals are on the new offshore runway with the majority of departures being on the runway closest to the Cargo terminal but be careful a few sneak out on the middle runway.
With clear weather SZX moves can be seen along with a occasional OTT for Macau. The more expensive Sheraton next door has a rooftop bar/restaurant/terrace .. the Sunset Grill. Same expansive views as from room with fresh air and beer at £9 a pint! Hotel also has a shuttle to Tung Chung MTR .. used this to connect to HAECO bus round to view the biz. Ever more frustrating with ramps packed and new fencing getting higher but a good few logged. Walked back from hangars to biz terminal for another peek then called an Uber to bring me direct to hotel.

WIII/CGK - Jakarta - Jakarta Airport Hotel - March 2025
Our 2 nights here have been at the Airport Hotel in T2, somewhere not visited for a few years now in favour of the FM7. In our opinion, this hotel is better for views. The FM7 was always hit and miss with the trees in front of your windows obscuring views. Naturally, electronic fudgery is needed to keep an eye on the southern runway movements. We are in Room #30 which isn’t too far from Reception and the Cockpit Lounge. Room #105 and #37 also works. the cost was £50 per night,
The views I feel are pretty samey whichever you were allocated and with the regular changes in runways, being mid-point didn’t hurt our objectives. We took the SkyTrain back to T1 to have a gander at what’s left of the Waving Galleries in order to blimp any stored bits.
SPJC/LIM - Lima - Hotel Costa del Sol Wyndham - March 2025
We stayed at the Hotel Costa del Sol Wyndham which was a very short walk from the terminal. I was in room 706 which was roughly mid-way down the corridor. There was a tall but narrow building directly in front of us but it didn’t really cause any issues.

NOTE: The new Terminal has opened since this report, it is not known how this may have impacted things.
